About Pangkon Bali Resto & Agrotourism

Pangkon Bali Resto & Agrotourism is one of those places I love introducing to friends who want a true Balinese restaurant experience without the stiff, touristy feel. Tucked away on Jl. Tirta Jl. Tampaksiring No.25M, Manukaya, Tampaksiring, Gianyar, this spot blends local flavors with a relaxed countryside atmosphere that instantly makes you slow down. When you arrive, the first thing you notice is the open layout and fresh air, which makes outdoor seating feel natural rather than forced. I usually tell people this is the kind of place where you can come for a quick bite or linger over coffee while enjoying the surrounding greenery. The menu leans confidently into Balinese and Indonesian comfort food, yet it stays friendly for different preferences, offering halal food alongside vegetarian and vegan options. Because of that balance, it works well for mixed groups who don’t want to compromise. If you’re stopping by during the day, coffee is a solid choice, especially when paired with light dishes that don’t feel heavy. In the evening, a cold beer fits perfectly with the calm setting and casual conversations. Pangkon Bali Resto & Agrotourism also keeps things practical, which I appreciate, with dine-in service that feels unhurried and takeaway for days when you’re on the move around Tampaksiring. The agrotourism element adds another layer to the experience, making the visit feel connected to the land rather than just the plate in front of you. I often point out how easy it is to fit a visit here into a day of temple hopping or countryside exploring, since the location feels calm yet accessible. Outdoor seating is a favorite for many guests, while the indoor area stays comfortable for longer meals. The relaxed service style encourages you to enjoy the moment, talk, eat, sip, and simply settle into the rhythm of rural Bali.

We had lunch here on the way to the nearby temple complex. We were pleasantly surprised by the stunning view of the rice fields. Make you have a table at the back side to have the best experience. I enjoyed the Personal Pangkon so I could taste a bit of everything the Balinese kitchen has to offer. Along side I had a fresh Guave dragonfruit juice. Yummy. If you like continental food, they have enough options. The service was normal, staff was friendly and they didn't mind if you change your dish.

Chicken burger & club sandwich okay, bolognaise not so good…. The Indonesian menu & milkshakes is where it’s at!!!! Delicious!!! Check out the rice terraces a short walk away… the owners of the 1st home along the path have a little shop & their hospitality is next level…. One of the farmers showed us a short cut back to the coffee plantation (the main road) avoiding climbing back up the hill… very authentic experience, one of our favourites! The people are so nice there!!!! (There’s a little cafe also) don’t forget to make a donation!

We had lunch here — definitely tourist prices, a bit on the expensive side, but the atmosphere was great and the food was quite good! The banana milkshake tasted really fresh, probably made with real bananas. Overall, it was a pretty enjoyable experience, even though we knew we were paying tourist prices since it’s the kind of place that used to be popular with visitors.
